M.F.A.T.S.

http://www.mfats.co.uk/

M.F.A.T.S is a theatrically based organisation that wants to raise awareness for mental health, most notably depression and suicide. Working alongside the charity C.A.L.M (Campaign Against Living Miserably) we wish to create a training exercise using artistic techniques. Our goal is to gather data left anonymously by families who have been affected by mental health. We will then create case studies that will be recorded and used to train the charity representatives in understanding the problems callers have. A big issue regarding depression is how it can affect anybody at any time in their life. Gathering stories and data from as many people as possible is really useful in understanding how people are affected by mental health.

The information you supply is strictly confidential and anonymous, we have a disclaimer button allowing us to use this information for training, research and performance purposes if you are happy for us to do so. We are not here to offer therapy, only an outlet for people to share. We want everyone to get talking!

In 2014 there were 6,109 suicides in the UK, of which 76%, or 4,623, were male, and suicide currently stands as the single biggest killer of men aged under 45 in this country. We have one goal as an organization and that is to work together to help combat this growing issue.

I am a man I refuse to be a man down!

OH YES THEATRE PRODUCTIONS

…Oh Yes theatre productions are a Liverpool based company consisting of five emerging performers and writers. Currently completing their studies in BA Honours Drama at Liverpool John Moores University they are thirsty and eager to burst onto the theatre scene. With numerous scripts at various levels of completion and two performances scheduled for early 2015 all is go for oh yes as they hope to impress and achieve a firm foothold within the artistic sphere in the North West.

Still a relatively fresh company we are still experimenting with ideas and trying to find our style and vision. Our work could be said to be inspired by farce, satire and high comedy and our desire as artists is to create and inspire laughter while telling real and powerful stories that evokes the empathy of our audience. As writers we share a love for sharp and engaging dialogue that not only aids the drama but carries the very essence of the piece within it.
