#MyStrongWomanIs

Today is International Women's Day.

So I'd like to talk to you about a hashtag you may have seen floating about recently. #MyStrongWomanIs - Every woman tells a different story of strength and we want to share their experiences with you. #MyStrongWomanIs allows us to talk about the strong women we respect, idolise and love from mothers and grandmothers to pop stars and actresses. On April 14th some LJMU Drama Students including myself will take over Blackburne House, the site of the first school for Girls in Liverpool, and is now an education centre for women. Inspired by the life of Eleanor Rathbone, our intimate performance will take you around this historic building invite you to become immersed in a 1920's tea room, an interview of independence, the bedroom of a trans woman and more.
